Mary HERSCHLAG Obituary
December 10th, 2022. Loving wife of Charles I. Herschlag; Loving mother of Linda (Dan) Koopman, Charles H. (Kathy) Herschlag and Cindie (John) Siefert. Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren, great-grandmother of 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Loving sister of the late Betty Jane (Norman) Kraemer and Ruth (Niaomi) Miller. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, December 14th, 2022 from 4-8pm at Dietrich Funeral Home, 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 15th 2022 at 10am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4007 Main St., Eggertsville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LAMP Lutheran Association of Missionaries & Pilots. Online condolences may be shared at www.thedietrichfuneralhome.com

Aunt Mary Lou always had a smile on her face. I loved it when she would said my brother's name "Doug" which to us kids it always sounded like dog. She will always be in my heart! My thoughts and prayers are with you now and forever!

I am forever grateful for something my Aunt Mary Lou did for me in 1969 while I was serving in the US Army stationed in Japan. An explosion i was in caused me to suffer 3rd degree burns on my face and hands. The doctors said I would be scared for life. Aunt Mary Lou held a prayer vigil at her church for me and as a result I have zero scaring. God bless her!

Cindie and family, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Mom. I only met her the one time at the Iroquois Legion Post opening but what a lovely lady! She did so much with the Legion and for our vets. God bless her. Sending prayers to all.
