Mary Posthumus Obituary

POSTHUMUS - Mary L. (nee George) September 20, 2008, age 91, a resident of Strykersville, NY for 57 years; beloved wife of the late Lawrence M.; devoted mother of Elaine (Michael) Almeter, Dianne (John) Stinson and Julie (James) Niziol; sister of the late Charles (late Helen) George and the late Magdalene (late Joseph) Ortner, late Anthony, late Paul (late Dorothy) and the late Giles George; also survived by six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Queen of the Rosary RC Church, Main Street, Strykersville, on Friday, October 3 at 11:00 AM. Private interment in St. Marys Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY, 14227 or to the Strykersville Rescue Squad would be appreciated. Arrangements by the WOOD FUNERAL HOME, East Aurora, NY.

Dear Family of Mary, My deepest sympathy to all of you. As Activities Assistant at Eden Heights I got to know Mary and she was always so appreciative of my music programs. I will miss her. We had many nice, stimulating conversations. She was a very pleasant lady.
