You were so special to our family. We enjoyed the fun and love you gave when you came over. I always liked kidding around with you. I will miss you very much and I know you are no longer in pain, as I saw you in it so often, so that makes me rest a bit easier. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family. I know how much his family meant to him.

I want to offer my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Matt. I had the privilege of listening to Matt address his class at the graduation ceremonies. The message he gave was worthy of a scholar well beyond his years. Matt always showed an amazing attitude in his fight to live and was an inspiration to the kids of Sweet Home. He will be missed.

To Everyone that Loves Matt Leffler: I did not have the honor of knowing this young man personally, but I, like so many in the community, was profoundly impacted by the news coverage of his incredibly inspiring graduation speech. My heart mourns for you all as you grieve his loss. I am personally inspired to live my life better and more fully simply because I heard Matt's story. I can't imagine the impact he had on those people that were lucky enough to know him personally. May God Bless You All and may the knowledge that this incredible young man's spirit lives on in so many ... even people you don't even know, bring you comfort. He was truly one of the most beautiful people I have ever known of - inside and out. To Matt's beautiful mother and - I know we owe you a debt of gratitude for raising him to be the bright light he was and will continue to be. As a mother myself I cannot imagine your pain and my heart aches for you. May God give you all the comfort that you need in the days and years ahead. Your entire family remains in my thoughts and prayers.

matt, i never had the pleasure of knowing you. but i was close to a lot of your friends such as taylor. everyone always talked about you with more respect than anyone in the world. you were their hero, and quite honestly you are mine too. after listening to your graduation speech i've realized there is so much more to life, and we need more people like you in this world. its unfortunate you were taken from us so soon. but you're in a better place now. rest in peace<3
