Michael CATANZARO Obituary
Of Orchard Park, entered into rest August 1, 2022. Beloved husband of Nancy A. (nee Murphy) Catanzaro; devoted father of Roger (Karen) Catanzaro and Michelle (David) Hemphill; cherished papa of Michael "Sam" Hemphill and Jacob Story; loving son of the late Sam and Mae Catanzaro; dear brother of Carol (Donald) Morris, Barbara (Louie) Fasolino, late John Catanzaro and brother-in-law of Joette Ciocca; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Friday (August 5) from 3-7 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's name to Hospice Foundation. Michael coached West Seneca Little Loop Football and West Seneca Youth Baseball for many years. I knew Michael many years ago when he would visit his relatives on Ketchum Street in Buffalo, NY. We often played touch football in the street. I also knew Michael at Bishop Fallon High School. He was always the same - smart, friendly and a genuinely nice person.

While not having seen Mike in years, I relish the fond memories of growing up with him and his brother on the Westside of Buffalo on Connecticut Street. John was always a pleasure to be around and a fun friend! Condolences to his family. I´m sure he will be sadly missed by many!

Nancy and Family, I send sweet sorrow to you. Mike always greeted me at FWC with a handshake, a big smile. And " how are ya. honey"? One of the last generation of gentlemen. Rest in knowing he is with Jesus, healed, experiencing Paradise.
