Dr. McConnell was my MD for many years. I appreciated that I never felt rushed and he actually listened to what I had to say. I can't say the same about many other MD's. He truly was a gem and I will miss him.

My best wishes and sympathies to all of his family. He was a delightful man and a great doctor. I actually looked forward to my visits -- not something I could say about every doctor! He was also a great help to Rev. Stephen Gerencser, who introduced us.

And when Heaven's gates opened all the angels gathered around to welcome the best of all.
One would need an endless supply of paper to properly define this man.
A wonderful, loving husband and best friend to Ginny. A caring, magical father to Ginny, Ann, and Michael. A man who delighted in being a Grandfather to his five precious grandchildren. A dedicated and compassionate doctor to all his patients. A patient teacher to someone who needed to know how to properly perform a strep test.
We moved to Williamsville at the same time as the McConnells who became a second family to our children. Our kids could slip out of their own house and easily find themselves treated like one of the other kids in the other.
All I can remember is joy, and laughter and sharing of the beauty of that which is life. Oh, that deep resounding laugh that was Mike.
Although it has been a few years since we spent time together there is no lessening of the pain of Mike's passing.
In this life you do not often meet giants. And Mike was a giant in everything he did.
Ginny and family, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful Dr Mike with the rest of us.
Our thoughts and prayers and smiles are with you now and always.
