MY Cousin Michael,
Words can not express the emptyness in my heart. You'll never know how much I mish you. My worst regret is that I didn't get a chance to hug and kiss you one last time. Though many months have past, still it is tough knowing we won't see you walking through the door, hear your laugh or see your smile at family parties ever again. Michael, you broke our hearts. You of all people, the one that always worried about the fam. You are our blood, our friend and "trusted advisor" then you decided to leave us. Life is not always easy or fair. It must have been so hard, so painful for you. If only you had waited one more day, one more week. Remember my mother always said "the whole picture can change in an hour", who knows-it might have.
I remember growing up how we would drive around for hours, stop at Mr. Tony's for a beer, go to the falls and sing songs all the way home. I recently found a picture. It was a picture of us at my mother and father's house on a snowy day, a Christmas day. There we were, preteding we were cooking with water and nuts in the middle bedroom off the dining room. All of us girls and you the only boy. I looked at the picute for a long time. It seemded like just yesterday. It brought back such good memories of being young. We had no worries. Our parents did that for us. Those were the days. Memories! Do you know what a memory is? A memory is a time that we borrow when we need to get through til tommarrow. What I wouldn't give to be little again. Funny how life changes as we grow yet somethngs stay the same. Mike it will be Christmas pretty soon. I know you will be sharing it with us, for you are not gone, you just got tired and went to sleep for a long time. Nothing is easy in this world. People just go on hurting and pretending. Mabe you knew something we didn't. Rythme or reason can not be justified. Just know you are not alone. It is late and the morning comes early so I am off to bed now. Good night and sleep tight. Angels on your pillow as they watch over you and our loved ones. I'll come see you for the holidays.
I love you Michael.

Mr.&Mrs Thomas J Calandra

M.A.P. today’s the day he was born to this earth
And today’s the day we remember his birth.
A kind and gentle man who is missed and loved
A son
A brother
A husband
A father
A friend
And a love
At night we pray for his soul, and we’re sad he’s not here
In the silence of dark we imagine we hear him whisper softly in our ear.
The shock has worn off and realities here
We miss you, we love you, but we must persevere.
Daily thoughts and prayers go out to the Pellegrino and Perna families
And friends at this difficult time.

Patti Schwarzkopf Cornavaca

April 20, 2007

Connie, So sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers are with you and your children.I will pray for you and your family at this difficult time. God is there to comfort you. Trust in Him. Give Him your pain. He loves you and will care for you. May you find peace and comfort in His love and mercy.

April 19, 2007

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Where do I begin? There are not enough words to possibly describe you. Michael though you are not here we know you are all around us. They say time heals all. Growing up with you Micheal is a memory that no one can take away. You were our blood, our pillar. The one we came to for help or advice. When ever we needed you, there you were. A day hasn't gone by that I don't look at your picture with that warm smile and those beautiful brown eyes. From Hampshire Street to East Amherst you were always a Class Act. You were like a Christmas Tree. Always there to light up our spirits. You give a new meaning to your name: MICHAEL
M=MAN
I= ICON
C=CLASS
A=ARTICULATE
E=ENDEARING
L=LEGACY.
We are sad that you're gone yet greatful to have had YOU in our lives. Michael, you live on in our hearts. We know you will continue to watch over and protect us as you did while you were here. One day we will meet again but until we do sleep peacefully for you are with Uncle Bill, Nicole and the Angels. One day we will meet again.
WE LOVE YOU DEARLY...H-BDY
