I only learned of Mike's passing yesterday and my heart is broken, most especially for all of his friends, family and loved ones. I was merely an adoring customer. He was my very favorite bartender at Osteria. His spirit was infectious, and welcoming and just simply wonderful. I am having a very hard time processing the fact that he is no longer among us here on earth, and that the next time I visit Osteria he will not be there. Therefore I can only imagine the heartbreak being felt by his family and all of those closest to him. The world has truly lost an amazing person. You all remain in my thoughts and prayers. I know the fond memories I have of him just as a customer - I am sure he left all of you with memories to keep him alive in your hearts forever. Michael I am tempted to say I hope you are resting in the most beautiful peace, but I actually hope that you are continuing to bring joy to those in heaven with shots of Fireball and witty conversation :)

Only knew you as a neighbor downtown.
My family in Hamburg and E. Amherst knew exactly who you were. Many people loved you. I am so sorry for those close to you that you left behind. They are heartbroken.
No words I can ever say will ever make any kind of sense to your family, though I am so sorry for them..
Look, I lost my BEST brother (out of 4) at the end of Dec. 2011 and I'll never get over it, ever.
I loved my best brother cause you have no idea how much love, painful honesty and generosity he had and there were no better ways to be as a human to me as he was.
Beautiful man "Michael", now rest... be proud of all the wonderful ones you left behind...

Mike & I were tight during middle school. I cherished his friendship as we passed silly notes back & forth to each other. I remember how awesome I thought his handwriting was & how his smile would light up a room. I'm saddened to hear of his passing. I truly hope his family can find comfort in fun memories of Mike. RIP friend....

To Mike's family,
I am very sorry for your loss.I had the privilege to get to know Mike while he worked at Baker Victory Services. He was a great guy,a compassionate person with a kind soul and a good heart.
I am very saddened by his death.
I did not know Mike well,but,I always looked forward to speaking with him whenever we had the chance to work together.
The world is a lesser place with out him,but,I and the others who had the chance to know him,are better off because of him.
