Age 88, of Williamsville, NY, passed away on May 30, 2022. Loving daughter of the late Jane Ray (nee Danahy) and the late Edmund Deakin. Belolved wife of the late Thomas A. Fortunato. Devoted mother of Kathy (Gary) Yoder, Mark (fiancée Mary Kung) Fortunato, Sue Fortunato, Karen (Jim) Quinn, Steve (Cherisse) Fortunato and T.J. (Salomey) Fortunato. Dear former mother-in-law of Sheila Fortunato. Loving grandmother of Michael (Paula) Fortunato, Kramer (Jessica) Voigt, Jake (Brooke) Voigt, Madelyn (Anthony) Restifo, James Yoder, Emily (Nathan Schmitt) Yoder, Alex Fortunato, Ellie and Julia Fortunato. Great-grandmother of Jackson and Treyson Voigt. Sister of Michael (Kathy) Deakin and the late Edmund (late Dorothy) Deakin. Cousin of MaryJane (Ed) Bandelian; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will be receiving friends at the AUDUBON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 281 Dodge Rd., Getzville, on Sunday from 3-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church, Monday at 8:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, those wishing are asked to make donations to Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart, 3860 Main Street, Eggertsville, New York 14226. I vividly remember the first time I met Pat. It was at the first NFWS workshop, and she wore a baseball hat that read "Nifty Fifty." Looking at 40 myself, I was appalled by the hat and enthralled by the guts of the red head that wore it. Then I heard that she had SIX kids! She became a close friend, painting partner, and mothering coach. I would have never survived my kids without her. I will miss her, but am glad that she is now free.

A wonderful, fun and funny aunt with an engaging laugh and a curious mind, who always took an interest in what we were up to (half way around the world). I loved hearing my dad's stories of growing up together and especially their escapades at Crescent Beach. She will be greatly missed.
