Age 69, passed away on January 18, 2022. Cherished sister of Paul (Patricia) Kimball and Bruce (Nancy) Kimball; loving aunt of Jamie, Conor, Sarah, Courtney and Molly; lifetime companion of Paul Zapalowski; cherished stepmother to Kimberly (Richard Steimer) Zapalowski-Steimer; loving grandmother to TJ, Joe, Emma and Bailey. Patti was a Librarian at the Buffalo Philharmonic from 1986 until 2021. Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. My condolences to Pat´s family. Pat was a friend from college. I met her through the theater department. We kept in touch and she visited me in Denver CO many years ago. I have a picture if anyone would like it.

I was stunned and saddened to learn of the death of Pat. I was fortunate to work with her at the BPO. Her dedication and commitment to the orchestra were legendary and her attention to detail and devotion made everything we did better. My condolences to her family and friends.

Pat was deeply beloved by our orchestra, and by everyone who knew her. She was the brilliant heart of all of our concerts, and kind, supportive and loving to everyone. We will cherish her memory always, and we know that part of her incredible spirit still lives at Kleinhans with us.

Patti was one of a kind. Smart, compassionate, always interested in what you had to say. Cheerful and encouraging. Paul Zap was so lucky to spend a good portion of this adult life with Patti. Their mutual love and understanding of music created a unique bond that carried through 30+ years. I will miss our side chats at family parties and her giggle when revealing some of Paul's antics or bragging about his achievements. Gone too soon.

I am heartbroken at the loss of such a treasured friend and BPO Colleague. We have lost someone who was so knowledgeable about the rich tradition and history of the Orchestra. She was an invaluable link to our past and an expert within the world of orchestra librarians. It will always be a privilege and joy being her colleague and musical collaborator.
