Paul Cuddihy Obituary
March 23, 1966 - Dec. 29, 2023
57, of Ballston Lake, passed away suddenly on December 29, 2023. Born in Buffalo, NY to Edward and Irene (Frisse) Cuddihy of Hamburg, NY, Paul moved to Schenectady in 1989 to begin work as a computer scientist at GE Research Center and to raise his family at the doorstep of the Adirondacks. Paul loved spending time outdoors hiking, cycling, running, and snowboarding. Paul had immense musical talent, particularly expressed through the piano. Paul had a creative mind, mischievous sense of humor, and was the one that everyone turned to. Above all else, Paul's true love in this world was his devoted wife Nancy (Wojewoda) Cuddihy. Paul is survived by his wife; along with his three loving children, Meredith Cuddihy (Jacob Goertz) of Saratoga Springs, Christopher Cuddihy of Ballston Lake, and Margaret (Nikolajs) Gaikis of Carlisle, PA. Paul is also survived by his parents; his brothers Mark (Nancy) Cuddihy of Detroit, MI and David (Karen) Cuddihy of Hamburg, NY; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other dear family. Paul is predeceased by his brother Douglas Cuddihy of Hamburg, NY. Services were held on Wednesday, January 3. Mark & Nancy, Very sorry about Paul. Mark, we worked at the Little White House...You came in my bar in 2008. I could not remember you. 5 years later i woke up suddenly from a deep sleep & recited your name out loud. I tried looking you up from time to time to tell you. We had the privilege of meeting the Cuddihy family at a small Christmas gathering a few days before Christmas. We had a lot in common and enjoyed receiving great advice about home and work issues. Nancy, I haven't stopped thinking about you and your difficult path before you. Blessings in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost now and forever.
