Paul Hauptman

1944 - 2025

Paul Hauptman, 81, of Buffalo, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025. Born and raised in Buffalo, he proudly called the city home throughout his life. Mr. Hauptman served honorably in the Vietnam War, spending a year stationed in Korea. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long and successful career in commercial printing with Sterling Sommer, where he worked for nearly 40 years and was recognized as the top salesman in Buffalo for many of those years. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Laurie Hauptman; his children, Nicole Hauptman Amick (DJ) and Michael Hauptman; and his grandchildren, Cooper and Cameron. He is also survived by his brother, Don Hauptman, and sister-in-law, Audrey. A devoted Buffalo Bills fan, Mr. Hauptman was a season ticket holder for many years and rarely missed the chance to cheer on his team. He was also an avid golfer and a longtime member of Brookfield Country Club. He enjoyed good cigars, good drinks, and time spent with family and friends. Mr. Hauptman will be remembered for his generosity, humor, and deep love for his family. A celebration of his life will be scheduled this summer in Buffalo.
