Dear Miriam ... I was saddened and surprised to hear of Peter's passing ... my brother, who lives in Buffalo, mentioned on 1Dec07 he saw a death notice but wasn't sure it was my advisor ... you know Peter was a great mentor and a loyal friend ... no one had more influence on my professional development and career than Peter and for that I will always be truly grateful ... I love him dearly ... I will always treasure my memories with you and him ... my deepest sympathy to you, Joey and your families ... Chuck Pfeifer

We hope that knowing even those old friends at some distance still think and care for you will help soften the blow of your loss.
