Well Dad,
I'm back from New York now.I've had some bad weeks in my life, but that was the worst one.
I would just like to say to you,I LOVE YOU. Not just because you're my Father, but because I considered you a good friend as well. I know, growing up with you,as my Father, I wasn't the best kid in town, but I guess I was just being a kid! So I guess, just say,It was, what it was!
As an adult, I considered you a good friend. Although we are alot alike,It didn't take much to get your blood pressure up. You know Dad,I can go on and on. But I'm going to make this, sweet and short,
It is, what it is! Until I see you again, I will Always LOVE and MISS YA!
Love Your Son,
DAN

P.S.
I know you're finally happy, now that you're with your Brother.

Sherry,Cindy,Dan We are so sorry for your loss, your father was a very special person. One of the special memories that goes through my mind is when Anthony, and Cindy came home for the first time together and about 5 years had gone by, Al and I had a little get together at our house for their last day and your Dad came over. I can remember him slow dancing with Cindy in our family room, making us all have tears in our eyes. You know it is always so emotional when they go back to california,,,this was a extra special time for our families, your Dad will be missed.. Oh by the way, Ray do you think you can give the Bills a little help from a higher power,,I am thinking of maybe a superbowl win.. that would take a miracle, and I know you are just the man to do it..:) May you rest in peace.

Dear Ray,
Hannah brought out the stuffed dog we bought you as a joke one Christmas, today. It made me cry. And Friday I had been at the Mall and I saw a shirt that reminded me of the ones I use to buy you. Hey, I don't know if I ever told you this but thanks for always wearing them. I remember the first one I ever bought you. You wore it to" The Dock" that night.
Thanks for allowing us to live next door to you when Dan wanted to leave New Orleans and return home to Hamburg. Thanks for never complaining about my cooking when I would bring a plate over. 8)
You were a wonderful Grandfather to Hannah , so loving . I remember the first time you held her in your arms and the look on your face. God how I wish I had a picture of that now, you know I would of if Sherry was there. 8)
I remember you two lying in bed together, watching old movies and falling asleep face -to face. It was so sweet. And even when you didn't feel well you still gave her so much love and attention. Like when you would let her pretend to give you a shot in the arm.
And thanks for making the trips out to Florida to visit us. I know it wasn't easy on you.
As your kids would say, "You were cool" . I'm glad you were my Father-in-law. Most important , thank you for Dan. He's my world.
I know things are going to be tough around here for awhile now that your gone , but I know you wouldn't want us to mope around or spend all are time crying. You would rather everyone to laugh and share memories of you. So that's what will try to do!!

Peace out. See you on the other side someday.
Love, Ely (daughter-in-law)

To My Father-In-Law (Dad):
First and foremost, I would like to thank you for giving to me your daughter Sherry. Without her I would only be half the man I am today. You,...without knowing,...You made such an impact on so many lives,
Loving your Kid's,

The things that you did which others couldn't see,
Came from your heart,

With LOVE and conviction,
There is no end,
WE WILL MEET AGAIN,
