Richard BECKER Obituary
of Alden, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 17, 2022 after a 4 year battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Kelly (Hacker) Becker; dear father of Ryan and Kayla Becker; loving son of Richard G. Becker, Sr. and the late Donna Becker; brother of Elaine (late Gary) Grant and Chad (Jennifer) Becker; son-in-law of Carol Hacker; brother-in-law of Kurt (Catherine) Hacker and Carrie Ward; uncle of Dylan Grant, Jakob (Jessica) Grant, Samuel Grant, Alex Hacker, Adrienne Hacker, Abigail Hacker, Paul Hacker, Justus Ward and Olivia Ward; also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Family will be present at the Charles Meyer Funeral Home, 13228 Broadway Alden, NY Tuesday from 3-7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's RC Church Alden, NY Wednesday at 11 AM. (please assemble at church). Rick spent his professional career working at Sonwil Distribution Center. He started working there in the early 90's and held many positions throughout his career ending as Vice President of Business Development. Rick was an avid hunter and fisherman for many years. He loved playing pool on his winter pool league with his buddies. He also enjoyed playing cards, cooking and spending time hanging out with his family and friends. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alden Fire Dept. Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com

I’m so sad to hear of Rick’s passing. He was great friends with my brother in high school and Chad was a good buddy of mine so I knew Rick well back then. He was the friendliest guy and always had a smile on his face. I’m so sorry for your loss and sending thoughts and prayers to all of his family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear about Rick. He was one of my best friends growing up. My best memories of Alden include Rick. The camping trips with my dad (Doc), the Adirondacks, H.S football games, trumpet lessons, John & Marys, girlfriends, he even made me join the swim team...lol! The last time I saw him was 2004 at the beer tent in the park. After years of not seeing each other, we instantly connected like true friends do. I will always remember the good times with Rick forever.
