I remember when I met Mr Lukonaitis...what an amazing smile he had...welcoming me into his family even only after one meeting. His daughter Lea and I were best friends in college and I knew nothing about the Seneca culture. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with him and mom. Certainly an earth angel, who will put on his spiritual wings once more and walk with the wwise. Love and light to all of you.

Dear Mrs Lukonaitis and family. I had the pleasure of working with Rich for many years in the USPS. I retired in 2006 and moved to Florida. I knew of Rics illness and shared many conversations with him because many in my family had the same. I can say we worked hand and hand together, doing very long projects to serve our fellow employees and customers. He always watched my back and was dependable. It's kind of funny, but a few months ago I was thinking a lot about Rich and was looking for him on Facebook. I am sad I didn't keep looking. I could have talked to him and told him thank you for all he did for me. I wanted to tell him about my life with my horse and how she helps me fight my disease. I was paying attention to him, but glad he is not in pain anymore. I will always know him and meet again. Blessings to all your family. Sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Rose Birnbaum

Mrs. Lukonaitis, Lea, Rich and all of your family: Your husband/dad was an inspiration to so many people, myself included. He was so courageous throughout his battle against such a horrible disease. I can still picture him sitting in the stands watching Lea and me play basketball in high school. You will all be in our prayers. Justin and I send our love and our kids send hugs to all of the children in his life who loved him so very much.
