It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert A. (Duke) Duquin, who departed this world on November 18, 2023 with his family by his side. Duke was a skier, avid golfer, and fisherman. He loved to spend his time during the summer with family in Long Beach, Ontario, Canada and on fishing trips with close friends. He faced many health challenges in his final years with unwavering strength and resilience, supported by those who loved him. Robert was born to the late Betty J. For a longer chapter of his life, Robert was married to Catherine M. Gaughan with whom he shared three children. Catherine was one of his caregivers and by his side at the time of his passing.
A devoted father, Robert leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment. He is survived by his children, Scott M. Duquin (Melissa), Christina M. Lacagnina (Michael), Christian M. Duquin (Christine), and Catherine E. Sheedy (Patrick). He was predeceased by his son Robert B. Duquin. His love for his family was endless. A loving grandfather, Robert derived immense joy from the presence of his grandchildren: Dominick Sorrento, Everly Lacagnina, Olivia Duquin, Logan Duquin, and Noah Sheedy. His love for them was prevalent, and he was so proud to be their grandfather. Robert was a dear brother to William A. Duquin (Dawn), Bryan P. Duquin (Lori), Tricia S. Anastasi (Louis), Monica A.
