Beloved husband of Karen (Denecke). Loving father of Matthew G. Denecke, M. Denise (Cris Iuliano) Denecke, Robert E. (Nancy) Gallagher Jr., Brian M. (Jeanine) Gallagher, Clare E. Gallagher, Joshua W. (Shannon) Gallagher, William J. Gallagher and Ian M. (Christina) Gallagher. Dear grandfather of Andreana, Brian, Patrick, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Grace, Joshua, Kevin, Neal, Jack, Jordon, Will, Emmett, Amelia, Cameron, Lily, Ella, Scarlett, Phillip, Everett and the late William. Great grandfather of Grayson and Adeline. Special Guardian of M. Therese Denecke (Daniel Shafer) and Regina (John) Walton. Son of the late William and Elizabeth (Pfeiffer) Gallagher. Brother of Stephen (Ginny), M. Therese (David) Pitrelli, Ann (Matthew) Laudisio, Patricia "Trish" (Patrick) Casillo, Mark (Linda) Gallagher and the late Joseph Patrick (Paulette), late Rev. Msgr. William J. Gallagher, late John Michael (Kathleen) Gallagher, late James (Mary Beth) Gallagher. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday from 3-7PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME INC. 3155 Orchard Park Rd. 716-675-9027. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:00AM at St. Joseph's University Parish 3269 Main St. Buffalo, NY 14214. Please assemble at church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, American Heart Association and/or American Diabetes Association. Mr. Gallagher was a longtime teacher and administrator within various districts across Buffalo as well as mentoring student teachers at Buffalo State University.
