Mr Hellerer was I believe a Naval Officer in WW2. When I was applying to the United States Naval Academy he was especially helpful in writing letters of recommendation to Annapolis, our Congressman and the Senators to help me attain my Nomination and Appointment. I greatly appreciate his past efforts in securing my Naval Career which spanned 35years eventually attaining the rank of Captain. My hat is off to Mr Hellerer, one of the Greatest Generation. Respectfully and with fond memories, Christopher Conroy. My condolences to all his children especially Matthew.
