Roger Ellis Obituary

Of Little Valley. His valiant battle with long-term health issues ended January 3, 2025. He was predeceased by his father, Gilbert Randall Ellis II;, a brother Norman Ellis; a beloved stepdaughter, Melissa Chwala-Bell; a brother-in-law, Jeffrey Stuckey; and his long-time brother and fishing buddy, Bob Webb. He is survived by his companion Colette Chwala Kolb; two daughters, Rebecca (Robert) Mustard, and Hannah Peiz. He has 3 grandchildren, Takoda, Mauricio and Maya; and one great-granddaughter. He was born to Gilbert R. Ellis III and Christel B Ellis. He is survived by his mother, Christel B Ellis; siblings: Wallissa Heim, Pamela (Sparkie) Edwards, Gilbert Randall (Elaine) Ellis IV, Vincent Ellis, Melanie (Richard) Horning, Valerie Stuckey, Joseph (Angela) Ellis, Evangeline (Gary) Frentz, and David (Kim) Elli. Also survived by 100+ nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Private arrangements have been made at Mentley's Funeral Home, Gowanda. A Memorial for Roger will be planned at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made to the Cattaraugus Ambulance or Gowanda Ambulance Service. Pam & l loved the time spent with Roger at Hamot Hospital. He shared stories with me about work and some funny things that happened. We had a wonderful conversation. Drawing close to one another! It was time I wish we had more. Love to the whole family
