Roger SZCZEPURA Obituary

SZCZEPURA - Roger W. Passed away on March 27, 2016, in Orange Park, FL. He was born on June 7, 1948 in Buffalo, NY, to the late

Zigmund and Nancy Szczepura.

Roger graduated from Kenmore West High School, received his associates degree in Social Work from Community

College of the Air Force, and he was a graduate of the Vandalia, OH Police Academy. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and as a police officer and Homeland Security officer. He was president of FOP Lodge 125 and

Berkshire Homeowners Association. Roger was a Big Brother, a member of the US Air Flight 427 Volunteer Police Recovery Team, and organized one of the first part-time police unions in

Rochester, PA.

He enjoyed collecting patches from

other police departments across the

nation and around the world, and marksmanship.

Roger leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Lee "Lynnette"

Szczepura; daughters, Jennifer Halulko and Melinda Cousins; son, Roger

Szczepura, II; grandchildren, Laina, Connor "CJ" and Aislynn Halulko; brother, Bruce Szczepura; sister,

Marion Hilton; nieces and nephews, Shana Wilson, Melissa Shaffer, Christie Robbins McGuire, Rachel and John Drozdowski, Jessica Ridenour, William and Clint Hilton, Jeff Robbins, and Eric and Alex Dembinski, and a host of cousins.

A funeral mass will be held on

Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 4:30 PM, with a visitation beginning at 3 PM, both at AARON AND BURNEY BIVENS

The family would like to thank the

Fraternal Order of Police for their compassionate assistance during this difficult time and the Air Force Honor Guard for their assistance during

Roger's service.
