Rose was one great lady who helped the Old First Ward and Valley communities while she was a councilman at large. She is responsible for funding the present day Old First Ward Community Center located on Republic Street. She also funded a passenger bus for the Valley Community Center among many other things. When others gave us no attention Roses was there for us. We wanted to honor her as Grand Marshal but she declined as she did not wanting us to make a fuss! She deserved so much more. I believe she had roots from OConnell Ave in the Old First Ward. Is that correct? RIP Rose. You have left a lasting legacy in our community!

I remember Rose when she first got into politics, I helped campaign for her, I had so much respect for her. She was tough, honest and loyal, she absolutely loved her family, she helped a friend of mine get a job at the border, she was always there to help . Her one son i forgot his name helped me design my business cards for my very first business in my 20's Rose said let my son design your business cards because he's the best designer and you will be successful, and I was. Thank you Rose, rest easy
