Sam showed up at my apartment in Big Spring, TX when I was in USAF pilot training. He told my wode he wanted toske us mannicottis for dinner. She took one looks at his five oclock shadow (it was noon); said she had to call me; closed and locked the door, left him standing on the porch, and called me! I told her to let him in and prepare for a feast!! She did, apprehensively, and we had a feast when I got home with two bottles of chianti. Sam had a heart of gold and needed to shave at least twice a Day. So sorry to hear of his passing!

We want to extend our condolences to the family, he will be missed by us so very much. Having been friends for almost 40 years, we have a lot of fond memories to hold on to. Unfortunately, it will be difficult in the beginning to think about them with laughter without the tears.
We love you & miss you, Sam!
