Sandra Dugan Obituary

Dugan, Sandra Jean Bell "Sandy"

August 11, 1938 - August 13, 2025

A longtime native of Buffalo, peacefully passed on Wednesday, August 13th, 2025. Sandra was a 1955 graduate of Kenmore Senior High School. Sandra was a very talented artist. She owned and operated a successful in-house ceramic studio while living in South Plainfield, NJ. She taught and won numerous awards, as well as several best-of-show honors for her work, and had articles published in two major ceramic magazines. Not long after moving back to the Buffalo area, she owned and operated the Village in Rathskeller bar and restaurant, located near the Niagara River in Lewiston, NY. Sandra retired to Belfast, NY, and then returned to Kenmore, NY, and finally relocated to Zephyrhills, FL, to live near her brother and enjoy warmer weather. Survivors include her children, Douglas (Lella), Diana (Jim); Grandchildren, Nicholas, Joseph (Elisa); Siblings, Rick (Donna), Patricia (Tom); along with many cousins, nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and many friends. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and longtime companion Kenneth Sutherland. Special thanks to Gulfside Hospice and their loving, compassionate care, as well as all her caregivers at Solaris Lake Zephyr. She had a funny, wicked sense of humor and loved and cared for everyone who touched her life. Sandra will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, art, and generosity will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
