Sandra Faulring Obituary

Faulring, Sandra L. "Sandy"

(nee Collins)

Aug 21, 1941 - Sep 14, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra "Sandy" Lee Faulring, aged 84, of Buffalo, NY, who passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 21, 1941, in Buffalo, NY, Sandy's life was defined by kindness, resilience, and a deep devotion to those she loved. Her world was forever brightened when she met Roger Faulring. What began as friendship quickly blossomed into an abiding partnership, and on July 5, 1973, Sandy and Roger were married. Their 52 years together were a beautiful tapestry of extraordinary adventures and the simplest of daily joys. Together they built a family rooted in love, humor, and joy-a family that became Sandy's greatest accomplishment and her proudest legacy. Sandy was known for her sharp wit, her boundless generosity, and her unwavering devotion to family. She had a deep love of animals and delighted in gardening, especially tending to her favorite flowers, daisies. A lifelong learner, Sandy valued curiosity and knowledge, and she passed that love of learning on to her children. She was rarely seen without a book in hand, her mind always engaged, her heart always open, and her laughter never far away. Sandy is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Roger Faulring; daughters Alicia Gilliam, Heather (Jason) Younger, Wendy (Mark) Park, Robin (Michael) Broderick, Candice (Sara) Vacin, and Sarah (Michael) Levorsen; and her cherished grandchildren Adam Hayhurst, Seth (Kristina) Hayhurst, Tess (Eric) Roy, Jordan (Irma) Younger, Jonathan (Rose) Younger, Erin Younger, Evan Younger, Cameron Mayhew, and Emery Mayhew. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Jaylen Younger, Nixon Hayhurst, Rowan Hayhurst, Rooney Roy, and Bode Roy. She was preceded in death by her siblings Patricia (Richard) Gilliam, Pauline Fago, David (Janice) Collins, and Donna Grunzweig and her brother-in-law Philip (Roberta) Bosso, Jr. The family will be present on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 4-7 PM at the (Delaware Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1132 Delaware Avenue (corner of West Ferry). A Funeral Service and interment will take place on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 9 AM in The Chapel at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1411 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14209. Friends and loved ones are warmly invited to attend, share memories, and honor Sandy Faulring's remarkable life. Those wishing to honor Sandy's memory with flowers may send them to Amigone Funeral Home, 1132 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14209. Sandy's legacy lives on in the love of her family, the laughter she inspired, and the many lives she touched with kindness, resilience, and devotion. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
