Of Torrance CA, formerly of the Tonawanda's. Sandy was the daughter of the late Sophie and John O'Konski, sister of the late Edward O'Konski and Dolores Jerauld and cherished Aunt Rose O'Konski. Sandy was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the mother of Marc Luczywek (Cindy), Marcia Luczywek, Michele Johnson Phillips (Joe) and Michael Lucens (Wenzel) also Anita Jayne mother of grandchildren April Luczywek Masters (Alan) and Benjamin Luczywek. Sandy was also Grandma to Megan Johnson and Ryan Johnson and great grandson Lyric Luczywek. "Aunt Sandy" was aunt to three generations of nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. Sandy was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School, and Doyle Beauty School, in Buffalo NY, she worked as a hairstylist for many years. Upon moving to Torrance CA in 1986 she worked as a manager at R&J Beauty Supply, a manager at Diet Center and as a receptionist at Valentines Salon. In 1990 she began working as a receptionist at Bay Shores Medical Group where she was employed for15 years. Sandy was also was an AVON representative for 35 years. The wide variety of jobs allowed her the opportunity to meet many wonderful people. However caring for her family was her first, and most important priority. There will be a funeral mass held at St. Christopher's Church, date to be determined... No prior visitation, and a private interment at Mount Olivet Mausoleum.
