Stephen BARBA Obituary
Age 75 of Claremont, CA. Formerly of Buffalo NY. Entered into rest on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. Steve was the beloved husband of 44 years to MaryEllen (Nee McCarthy) Loving father of Erika L of N. Tonawanda, NY, Katie Olivas of Oceanside, CA and Stephen J. Jr (Manys) of San Diego, CA Adoring grandfather (Papa) of Lilly Barba and Mia Olivas. Dear brother of Joanne T of Hamburg, NY and Paul L (Joanne M) of Clarence, NY. And brother-in-law of Kathy (Randy) Cicatello, Pegi Colosimo, and David McCarthy. Steve was a 1965 graduate of Riverside High School, and received degrees from the University of Buffalo and Claremont Graduate University. Steve served our country in the United States Air Force, 1965-69. He had a fulfilling career as a System Engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory/California Institute of Technology. In his leisure Steve volunteered with the Civil Air Patrol and the American Red Cross. He enjoyed the study of astronomy, hiking, bicycling, running, telling Dad jokes, and most of all, watching the Buffalo Bills. Services will be held in Claremont at a later date.

So sad.
Steve was a very good friend in high school and beyond. (Not boyfriend) just a friend who was a good listener. We had many interesting conversations about life and love of everyone without being judgmental.
Rest in Peace Steve. May God rest your Soul.

I´m so very sorry for your significant loss of Steve. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.
As my brother-in-law, he was an important part of my life. He brought laughter, fun times and joy to all of us. He´ll be missed and prayed for always. Rest in peace, Steve.
