Thompson Harveson & Cole Funeral Home & CrematoryRobert Frye was born January 13, 1929 in Shreveport, Louisiana and peacefully passed away March 16, 2026 at age 97, in Granbury,Texas.
He married Kathleen Hunt Frye on March 20, 1951 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A graduate of LSU with a degree in aeronautical engineering, he continued his education at Cal Tech where he earned his Master’s Degree. Bob then went to work for General Dynamics, later known as Lockheed, where he retired after many accomplishments. Bob was a founding member of Christ the King Church in Fort Worth, Texas where he spent many years serving in various missions.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Frye; his parents, P.A. Frye and Ann Frye-Bernardi; stepdad, Larry Bernardi; and grandsons, Mason and Marshall Frye.
He is survived by his two sons, Mike Frye and wife, Pam, of Nemo, Texas, Thomas Frye of Fort Worth; grandaughter, Michelle Ladd and husband, John, of Nemo; and great grandsons, Alex and Jase Ladd.
Graveside Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Requiem Mass: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Christ the King Anglican Church, 3290 Lackland Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76116. Honorary Pallbearers: John Ladd, Jase Ladd, Alex Ladd and Jerry Mayo.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be given to Christ the King Anglican Church, 3290 Lackland Road, Fort Worth, TX 76116 or a charity of choice.
