Edward Louis Boesch Jr.

Edward Louis Christopher Boesch Jr., of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on March 13, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on November 6, 1940, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Leontine Koebel Boesch and Edward Louis Boesch, Edward's life was one of faith, service, and love.

Edward is the beloved husband of Diana Boesch, with whom he spent 65 memory filled years. Together, they danced through life, literally and figuratively. He is the adored father of Deborah Coleman (the late David), Edward Boesch III (Dawn), and Sandra Poff (Richard); proud grandfather of Jennifer Boesch, Jesica Dragon, Patrick Coleman, Katelynn Coleman, Brendan Coleman, and Olivia Warren; great-grandfather of Blake Fricke, Kylee Dragon, Bradley Boesch, Beau Dragon, and soon to arrive, Mathew David Coleman. He also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends, all of whom he loved greatly.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Savoy and Alice Arostegui.

A graduate of Holy Cross High School with the Class of 1958, Edward's dedication to education led him to further his studies at Louisiana State University. Edward's professional career included being the owner of ABC Lighting Showroom from 1988- 2002 and over 27 dedicated years at Tenneco Oil Refinery/Exxon Mobil.

Edward's second home was on the water. A charter member of the Poor Man's Yacht Club and a former member of the Tammany Yacht Club, his love for boating spanned over 50 years. Edward's fun-loving side was evident in his passion for karaoke and his membership with the Krewe of Bilge for 40 years, where he reigned as King in 2000.

As we bid farewell to a man who was the embodiment of kindness and integrity, we celebrate the legacy he leaves behind. While his presence will be greatly missed, the memories shared with family and friends will continue to be cherished.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell. A Funeral Mass will begin in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Edward will be laid to rest in Audubon Memorial Gardens Cemetery following Mass.
