Chris Arthur

Chris Arthur, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on September 26, 1967, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a longtime resident of Slidell, Louisiana, Chris was a man of great character and warmth, whose presence brought joy to all who knew him.

Chris is the beloved husband of Roxanne Arthur, with whom he shared 39 years of treasured memories and love. He is the adored father of Brooke Smith (Joel) and Kelly Craig (Michael); proud grandfather of Breez Craig, Sadie Craig, and Sage Smith; son of Jeannie Deyo (Butch); and brother of Charles Arthur Jr. (Michelle) and Tammy Guidry (Steve). He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Arthur.

Chris's extended family, who will miss him dearly, includes his father-in-law, Olen Bryant, and mother-in-law, Joyce Bryant, as well as his sister-in-law, Cindy Kelly, and brother-in-law, Clint Bryant (Sharon). A host of nieces and nephews also mourn the loss of their fun-loving uncle.

A graduate of Northshore High School, Class of 1986, Chris was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He spent many years as a forklift operator at the Walmart Distribution Center, where he was respected by his colleagues for his reliability and good nature.

An avid outdoorsman, Chris found solace and joy in hunting and fishing. His passion for the outdoors was paralleled by his enthusiasm for LSU sports, and he could often be found cheering on his favorite team.

Chris Arthur's life was a testament to the values of family and friendship. His infectious smile and generous spirit will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. As we say goodbye to this remarkable man, we take comfort in the countless memories he has left behind, which will continue to inspire and guide us in the years to come.
