Stephen GOSCIAK Obituary
Passed away suddenly in Alaska on August 23, 2021. Beloved husband of Donna (Sacca) Gosciak; dear father of Erika Julyan and Paul (Kristyn) Gosciak; stepfather of Michelle Jasper, Colleen Burgio and Kimberly (Cliff) Cole; stepson-in-law of Samuel Rolon; loving grandfather of 18 and one great-grandson; son of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Jasinski) Gosciak; brother of Joseph Gosciak, Michael (Karen) Gosciak, Cynthia (Dana) Hubbard and the late Barbara Gosciak. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call Sunday from 3-7 PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3155 Orchard Park Road in Orchard Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at Nativity of Our Lord Church in Orchard Park at 11:00AM (please assemble at church). In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. Stephen loved rooting for the Bills and Sabres and enjoyed watching all sports. Online condolences shared at www.CANNANFH.com

My heart is breaking knowing that it´s time to say goodbye. I´ll forever remember and cherish the memories that we created over the years. I can´t fathom life without a "Hey Mo, can you do me a favor?" or your famous "Happy Birthday" song. I can only hope that I continue to make you proud, and that one day I meet a man that´s at least half the man you were (even though I´m not Gisele)
You are so missed by every member of our family and so many more due to your kind heart, and I couldn´t be more thankful to be your granddaughter! Rest In Peace Grandpa

Dad as I sit here today I cannot believe that instead of picking you up from vacation Monday, I will be attending your funeral. The worst part of it I haven´t even had an opportunity to say goodbye. I am glad that you didn´t suffer very long, you always hoped you wouldn´t. I appreciate everything that you taught me in our time together. Because of you I am the man I am today, and I know you were always very proud of me and my family. Kristyn and I along with our children Morgan, Meaghan, Stephen, and Christopher love and miss you immensely. I am extremely glad that I chose to name my first born son after you, he is very honored and blessed to carry on your name. I take pride in the fact that all of my children want to live their life to the fullest and that they are very determined to achieve all of their goals just like you. None of us could've asked for a better Father, Grandfather, Friend, or mentor in our life. I know that Erika and her husband Jeff and her children Rachael, Madelyn, and Gavin are all missing you as well, and share many of the same opinions about you. I promise to do what I should do and honor you. I have a lifetime of very fond memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Dad, may you rest in peace, have a wonderful time in heaven where I know you are with your sister, your Father, as well as your amazing Mother. Give them all a big hug for me. I hope all of you continue to keep a watchful eye on me and my family until we meet again, I LOVE YOU DAD!!
I would like to end this by thanking all of my amazing family for reaching out and being there for me and mine in this time of need. I would also like to thank the many friends that did as well. It was/is appreciated more than you'll ever know.

Dad, as I sit here writing this I can´t believe that I will going to your funeral Monday instead of picking you up from your vacation. What´s made it more hard is I haven´t even gotten the chance to say goodbye. I am thankful that you didn´t suffer very long. Thank you very much for all you taught me in your time here on earth. I am the man I am today due to your guidance, and I know you were very proud of me, no matter what. You were the best father and mentor I could have ever asked for and the absolute best grandfather to my children. Kristyn and I as well as Morgan,Meaghan, Stephen and Christopher miss you more than you could ever understand. You were a fantastic role model to all of us , and we will succeed due to many lessons you helped teach us. I will forever grateful that I named my first born son after you. I see the same determination in him and all of my children that I saw in you, and he will be forever grateful as well to carry on your name and legacy. The whole situation right now is tougher than it needs to be however I will always choose to honor you and think of all the amazing times we had during our time together. Go in peace dad and be with your father and your amazing mother up in heaven there is no doubt in my mind that you all are looking down on me. I know my sister Erika her husband Jeff, and her children Rachael, Madelyn, and Gavin share many of the same thoughts and memories of the wonderful man you were. I would like to end by expressing my deepest gratitude to all the members of my family that have reached out to me and my family to support us in this time of need. Dad,
I cherish all of our memories together, especially our childhood trips to Mackinac island, fun times with my brother Paul, and all of our cousins. Holidays were so special at Grandma Downstairs´ house. Grandma always told me how she proud she was of me and always encouraged me to do my best. This motivated me through my college years to keep going and working hard, because I wanted to make you both proud. I appreciate all of your help with my school projects, and I will never forget that awesome Styrofoam Medieval Castle that you helped me to build. I got an A+ on that project.
It seems like yesterday that you walked me down the aisle at my wedding. It is hard to believe that was 24 years ago! Paul and I will continue to be close and support each other as we grieve your loss. We love you with all of our hearts.
