Steve was a great guy, and a very generous tipper to me when I barbacked at Mr. Tony's. I haven't seen him in years but I'll miss him more now knowing that he's gone.

A true gem is an understatement, you were an amazing person with the biggest heart. You were warm, kind, and always had everyone else's best interest over your own. I consider myself blessed to have had the chance to work with you. You taught me more than you knew and I will be forever grateful. When I was thinking of moving to CA you were the one that convinced me that this opportunity doesn't come along very often and because of your advice and support, I took the risk. And it was the best thing I have ever did, and you were a big part of that, so thank you. You are no longer suffering, and that is very comforting to know. But there are many grieving people you left behind, please show them that you are in a better place once in a while, may you fly and shine with the angels! My sympathy to Steve's family on his passing. Steve was truly an unique individual who always had a smile on his face. Many people came through the door to work at Mister Tony's, but Steve was always one of the favorites of my mom, Mary Foote. I can say I had the pleasure to call Steve my friend. RIP friend.

It is an overwhelming feeling of loss! Steve was such a larger than life personality who had the heart of a saint. He was many things to me over the years, friend, fatherly - when i needed to be pointed in the right direction, psychiatrist when i needed to work through lifes twists and turns, but most importantly a person you could always count on when needed. He had a unique way of providing advice but it was always what i needed. I think of all the things we shared and memories i have but still can't believe he is gone. I love you my dear friend. Our next meeting will be at Kokomo Kevin's in heaven sipping something with an umbrella ??

How very sad to hear the news of the passing of Steve. He was a great kid. I always liked him. What a joy to see his smiling face walk into Tony's and take over for me behind the bar. To the family my deepest sympathy. RIP Stevie.

You could walk into a crowded room of people and Steve would make you feel like the most important person there with just a glance and his smile. His unique blend of sincerity, humor, wit, and warmth were felt by everyone that met him. With sincere condolences to the Piccolo family, I have, and will, miss seeing him. I'm grateful for his friendship, and such great memories that must, and will endure, until we meet again. God Bless you Steve...RIP!

My heart breaks for your wonderful family. I will always remember steve coming to mcauley to see his mom, with a huge smile, and always a hug for all of us on her unit. Will forever remember his loud raspy voice, and all the crazy jokes he had for us. The world has lost a wonderful man.

My heart breaks for all of you. I cannot believe how you suffered and still could not make it through. I know you are at peace and out of all your pain and suffering.
You all have been so good to him and took care of him through all of it.
I have known you all for over 40 years and you were always like family to me.
I used to love going to Mr Tony's when Stephen was working. We drove him crazy but he loved every minute of it !!
RIP and fly with the angels because you certainly are an angel.
Please be sure to open a bar up there, bc I'm expecting it when I join you !!! First drink is on me buddy !! Love all of you very much :-(
