Stephen, was introduced to me by fellow friend Bill. As a counselor, friend and as fans of the Bills we spent 10 yrs together. As a God given professional he helped me to truly believe,”that I was a worthwhile person who deserved to be well”.
His impact on me was profound and I am eternally grateful for him to have been in my life.
Amen

Dear Ann,Stephen and Family,
I knew Dr Stephen Stayer for many years and extend to you my sympathies at his passing. In working with him, I found him brave, when others were not, kind, direct, skilled in psychology and always gracious. I learned a great deal from him and what skills I have in psychology I owe to his mentoring. He was a spiritual person; I have no doubt that he rests in the grace of God and that we shall see him again.

He remained a good friend, teacher, and colleague We worked together in private practice and I thank him for that opportunity. I wish his family the best. May his soul rest in peace.

Dear Ann and family, I am saddened to hear of Steve's passing. He was a mentor of mine at ECMC while I served my internship, and we had offices together while on Main Street. We had a supportive and colleageal relationship, and a shared curiosity for life and living. I'm very grateful for the time we spent together
