Tamey HENDERSON Obituary
63, lifelong resident of Grand Island, passed away suddenly on May 4, 2023. Tamey was born on August 14, 1959 in Niagara Falls to the late Gerald and Helen (Beard) Wilkinson. She graduated from Grand Island High School in 1977. She spent over 25 years as a waitress at Bob Evans in Niagara Falls. She went on to have three children Michael (Erica) Forbes, Amy (Joseph) Runick and Brian (Heather) Forbes whom she adored. In 1997, Tamey married the love of her life, Michael Henderson. Recently retired, with her husband they spent time enjoying their beautiful yard, her sweet cat Ali and her two grandchildren Madelyn and Easton Forbes who were her pride and joy. Tamey was predeceased by her oldest sister Lorraine. She is also survived by her sisters Jean (Doug) Smith, Patricia (William) Moravec, several nieces and nephews, and so many adoring friends. Visitation will be held at the Kaiser Funeral Home 1950 Whitehaven Road, Grand Island, Monday May 8 from 5-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday May 9 at 9:30 AM at St. Stephen's Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Niagara County SPCA (niagaraspca.com/memorial-donations/) where Tamey's sweet cat Ali was adopted.
