October 27, 2025 of Cheektowaga, NY. Beloved husband of 65 years to Bernardine (nee Golba) Zygmunt; loving father of Deborah Zygmunt, Gregory Zygmunt, Sandra (Marvin) Ziemba, James (Doreen) Zygmunt, Elaine (late George) Harrington, and Cheryl (Jesse) Walczak; cherished Dziadz of Zachary, Morgan (Matthew), Jordan, Savannah, and Hope; great-grandfather of Maverick; dear brother of Theresa (late John) Kuhl; predeceased by siblings, Dorothy, Clara, Edward, Eugene, Raymond, and Francis; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ted was a US Army veteran and a retiree of the US Post Office. He was proud of his Polish heritage and loved being around his family, especially his grandchildren. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Monday November 3rd from 3-7PM at the DANIEL R. SMOLAREK FUNERAL HOME 2510 Union Rd., Cheektowaga (2 blocks south of William St.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10AM in St Philip the Apostle RC Church, Cheektowaga. Please assemble at Church. Interment in St Matthews Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Ted's name to the Wounded Warrior Project or Boys Town. Please leave condolences online at www.SmolarekCares.com

Jim and Zygmunt family - sorry to hear this. I remember him tolerating us having a few drinks in your basement as well as driving us to Cleveland for an Indians-Red Sox game. RIP.
