Thomas Lambert Obituary

LAMBERT-Thomas A. of Kings Park, NY, formerly of Larksville, PA and Elizabeth, NJ, died on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 in Buffalo General Hospital. He was born in Larksville, PA on October 22, 1925, the son of the late Thomas and Leona Kelly Lambert. Mr. Lambert was a graduate of Larksville High School, class of 1943. He then proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Ault DD 698 during World War II and was aboard ship in Tokyo Bay when the Japanese surrendered in September 1945. After formally retiring from the United States Postal Service, he held a series of positions before deciding to spend most of his time with his grandchildren. Mr. Lambert was a parishioner at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Kings Park, NY. He was an active member of the USS Ault DD 698 World War II Association and the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Kevin Barry Division 3, Smithtown, NY. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports, dance and the theatre. He was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees, the New York Giants and Notre Dame Football. Mr. Lambert is survived by former wife, Betty Lou Lambert. He is also survived by five proud sons; Thomas A. Lambert, Jr., James H. Lambert, Richard A. Lambert, Michael K. Lambert and Martin C. Lambert, their spouses/companion; Andrea L. Lambert, Mark Moretti, Barbara Lambert and Patricia Lambert, and twelve grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Davis, Edwardsville, Marie Mundro, Wilkes-Barre, Ruth Rosick, Luzerne. Funeral will be held 8:30 AM Saturday from the KIELTY-MORAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 87 Washington Ave., Plymouth, PA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM in All Saints Catholic Church, Willow Street, Plymouth. Interment will be in St. Vincents Cemetery, Larksville. Friends may call Friday, 2-4 and 7-9.

Dorothy, Marie & Ruth; We are really sorry to hear of the passing of Tom. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your families. Tom will be sorrowfully missed. He had a bubbly personality and he never said a bad word about anyone. Our love to you all.
