Thomas SENFT Obituary

SENFT - Thomas J. "T.J." Suddenly, September 8, 2010, with his family by his side in Buffalo, NY. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, 3 PM, at (Delaware Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1132 Delaware Ave. (near West Ferry). Mr. Senft, of West Seneca, NY, was born July 25, 1969 in Rockaway, NJ to Michael and Veronica Senft. In 1976, he moved to Williamsville, NY, where he graduated from Williamsville North High School. At the time of his death, Mr. Senft was serving as Senior Vice-President of Capital Management Services. Whenever asked about his main priorities in life, "T.J." always answered, without hesitation, "Family". Second and third priorities included Capital Management and his son's involvement with the Orchard Park Little Loop Football Organization. Among those who knew him, "T.J." was famous (sometimes infamous) for his generosity and ability to have a good time. Some time ago, "T.J." made a decision to become an organ donor, and his family takes great comfort knowing that his body is saving the lives of others as this is written. Mr. Senft is survived by his wife Sally (Duffett); his son Alexander and his daughter Rory. He is also survived by his father Michael Senft; brother Michael (Lisa) Senft; sisters Theresa Senft and Rachel Spradlin; mother-in-law Susan Duffett; father-in-law Tim Duffett; brothers-in-law Tim and Chris (Abby) Duffett; as well as nieces and a nephew. Throughout his nine years at Capital Management, "T.J." came to think of his co-workers as his "second" family. He is survived by "brothers and sister in-arms" Paul Hunziker, Steve Jones and Rachael Weiss, as well as a loyal team of those too numerous to name who will no doubt long remember him as the man who began his day with the slogan, "This is Sparta." In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Orchard Park Little Loop Football, www.opllf.com. Arrangements by (Quinn Southtown Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., (716) 836-6500. To the Senft Family:
TJ was a very gregarious and outgoing person. My husband and I only knew him for about a year, but he made enough of an impact for us to remember him and hope that he rests in peace. We hope that your memories of him give you the biggest smiles and keep you strong in the future. God Bless.

I was truly moved when I heard of the loss of TJ. Many of you speak of C.M., but I rememer when he 1st came on board at GLB, He was TJ and I was LT. He was just as intense about the job as I was and we clicked like real brother and sister. I watched him work himself up the ranks of management and heard of the success he eventually had at C.M. I have relived his jokes and especially the beautiful stories about his family that he loved soooo much. This is bittersweet because selfishly we don't want him gone, but God had need of him there. Be encouraged, TJ is just fine now. God bless you Sally and your children.

Sally, Alex, and Rory,
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why TJ left this earth so soon, or why he left before you were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, you'll begin to remember not just that he died, but that he lived. And that his life gave you memories too beautiful to forget. We are so very sorry for your loss. We will remember TJ fondly, and continue to keep you all in our prayers.
