Aunt Rita,
You were one in a million. I never got to tell you that when I look in the mirror I see you - we look a lot alike. I think we're a lot the same person, short and fierce, but full of love and awareness. I will always cherish these qualities about you, and I wish I could have known you more growing up. But I'm grateful for the time I had, and for always having your phone number, that we could talk anytime. So long, and thanks for the demonstration of strength and leadership.

Love,
Samantha

My Dearest Aunt Rita,

You will always be my favorite, you made me laugh, you made me feel loved and I always told you how much I love you. You were my hero; you were so strong in what you endured in your life and you did it happily, always with a smile and a laugh. You encouraged me to keep moving forward and I did because of that encouragement. As a mother to Jackie and Tina, you always showed your love and were so devoted. One could only hope to have some of that devotion in life. You never gave up, I guess you just got tired. I wish you peace, Aunt Rita, I will miss you. I love you.

Tina and Jackie, I'm so sorry for our loss. I love you guys.
