Civil Engineer and World War II Veteran. Longtime Buffalo area resident and retired civil engineer. Wayne moved to Buffalo from Utica, NY & graduated from Kensington High School. He served in the U.S. Navy Air Corps during World War II. He was in the Pacific Theater and attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute which he graduated from in 1949 as a Civil Engineer. Wayne worked as an engineer for the U.S. Corps of Engineers and the Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company. He joined the construction firm of Stimm Associates Inc. in 1957 & served as president of the Stimm Firm from 1978-1988. Following that, he continued his career as a professional engineer for 20 years until his retirement in 2008. Fiancé of Virginia "Ginny" Darling Sullivan. Husband of the late Jessie McNally. Loving father of Timothy McNally, Maureen (Kevin) Aderman and the late W. Michael McNally. Father-in-law of Cynthia McNally. Loving grandfather of Meghan (McNally) Badding, Kaitlyn (McNally) McArthur, Shannon McNally, Mackenzie Aderman, Andrew Aderman, Derek Aderman, Erin McNally, Emily (McNally) George, Ellen McNally, Brian Sullivan, Kevin Sullivan, Chris Sullivan, & Casey Sullivan. Great-grandfather of Robert (Trip) Badding III, Finnegan Badding, Declan McArthur, & Ronin George. Loving brother of the late Elizabeth Gaiser, Pauline Keggins & Robert Schloss. Also survived by nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 11am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 4375 Harris Hill Rd., Williamsville, NY.
