Beloved husband of Andrea (nee MacDonald) Monkelbaan; devoted father of Amy (Eric) Damasiewicz; cherished Papa of Greyson and Peyton; son of the late Charles and Dorothy (nee Olsen) Monkelbaan; dear brother of the late Linda (Norman) Swain and Ronald Monkelbaan; also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews. Wayne retired from the NYS Police and was on the World Trade Center detail. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, October 6th, from 4-7 PM at the (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5200 Sheridan Dr. (at Hopkins Rd), where services will follow at 7:00 PM.
