Age 79, of Lockport and Barker, New York passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Beloved husband of 49 years to Honor Carroll Martin (nee Sams); loving father of Meghan (Richard) Rys and Brendan Martin; brother of the late John (Susan) and the late Daniel (Christine) Martin; brother-in-law of Mary Bride (John) Wideman, the late Lawrence (Heather) Sams and the late Sheila (Edmond), Collum. Also survived by nieces and nephews. William had a distinguished 43-year career as a Professor at Niagara University. William received his Master's degree from Niagara University and a Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame. Friends may call Saturday, November 2nd, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at All Saints RC Church, 76 Church St., Lockport, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in William's memory may be made to Sisters of Saint Joseph, 4975 Strickler Rd., Clarence, New York 14031. Online condolences to denglerrobertspernafuneral.com.

Carol & Family,
Our deepest sympathies on Bill's passing. I can remember running around with Bill, Danny and jack many years ago, on Amber Street in South Buffalo. His parents Kay and Bill looked after all of us in the amorphous mob os young rascals in the Martin Family. Bill's education and position at Niagara University were a source of pride to all of us. His family was everything to him. May the heavenly roads rise up to meet you, Bill. And the celestial winds be always at your back.
