Dear Family,

I was very saddened to hear about the loss of Bill. I graduated with him in '71. He used to call me cous and we had a lot of fun times. We never kept in touch, but, we always talked at our high school reunions. He was really a nice guy. When someone close to us is taken from us, the pain sometimes seems more than we can bear. And yet, with time, our memories grow more precious & we come to realize, that those we've loved live on within our hearts.

Sincerely, Jamie (Ramsay) Gleason

Erica,
My granddaughter and I were at the Musician's Flea Market when we met Bill - I was so taken by his guitar playing, I bought his CD. I took my brother to see him at the Korner Kafe in Depew. I rejoice to know that I'll see him again in heaven.
God bless you and keep you and your family. He is sorely missed.

Bill was one of the most influential friends I ever had. I've been blessed to have known him for almost 25 years. From the laughter at the front desk of the Holiday Inn, to the New Years Eve celebrations, to introducing him to his beautiful wife, another dear friend... I can't begin to put into words all the love and memories I will treasure of Bill. I miss him - I will always miss him - I look forward to seeing him again in heaven, by the Grace of our God.

Erica,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bill's passing. Bill was such a great guy. I have a wonderful memory of sharing the stage with him at that Clarence church that had a coffeehouse. People were transfixed by his slack-key style and warm stage manner.

But more than that, was the way he lived his life; with compassion and generosity and faith. His love for you was always evident in how he spoke about you. I am so, so sad for your loss. You will be in my prayers.

Love,
Mari

Dear Erica and family,

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Our prayers are with you and your family. I just recently decided to get myself "out there" and participated in my first ever concert at Uncle G's with JPF. Later that evening Bill had stopped me on my way to my car. He looked me straight in the eye and thanked me for singing the National Anthem. His sincerity and kindness overshadowed my nerves and boosted my confidence. He was a very kind man and always friendly. He will be missed.

I'll always remember Bill, what a great guy. His music gave me peace. I quess the Lord needed a slack key player. Bill and I would kid each other about stealing each others guitar whenever we met. We had identical cases, and I, inadvertantly, ended up with his guitar and he with mine. Bill leaves an immence void in our local music scene, a tough act to follow...

I am so saddened to hear about Bill. I had the pleasure to work with him for a few years. He made it fun to go to work. He loved to talk about his music, his garden and his trips with you, especially to Hawaii. He talked about you, his best friend, so often. The world has lost a wonderful person and friend. He will be greatly missed. Please know that I am thinking about you and your family and am praying that God give you strength in the days ahead. Peace be with you.
