Janet Andrews Obituary
Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. – Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the Hope Wesleyan Church in Independence, followed by a light lunch to continue the Celebration of Life at Denali's in Independence. Burial will be at a later date.
Memorial visitation will be from 9 a.m. until services on Thursday, at the church.
Janet R. Holst was born March 14, 1949, in Independence, the daughter of Floyd and June (Larson) Holst. She graduated from Independence High School with the class of 1967. Later in life she attended Hawkeye Community College and graduated from the Administrative Assistant program. Janet married Michael Irwin and together they had Lori and Jennifer. The couple later divorced. On August 30, 1991, Janet was united in marriage to William G. "Bodie" Andrews in Independence. Janet was a member of the Hope Wesleyan Church in Independence.
Janet is survived by her husband, Bodie Andrews of Independence; two daughters, Lori (Chad) Albright of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Jennifer (Brent) Pettigrew of Center Point, Iowa; one step-daughter, Heather Andrews of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one brother, Ken (Dee) Holst of Center Point.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Roger Holst and Richard Holst.
Memorials may be directed to the church.
