Jeffery Morris Obituary

QUASQUETON – Jeffrey Alan Morris, 53, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 at his home near Quasqueton.
Jeff was born June 8, 1962 in Cedar Rapids. He served in the U.S. Army, was fluent in Arabic and Russian, served in Dessert Storm and was honorably discharged in August 1991.
Jeff was the son of Marvin and Beverly Morris, Quasqueton. Survivors include his parents; his wife Donna of Manchester, his former wife Laura of Tennessee and their children: Meghan (John) Jones of Tennessee and Rebecca (Zac) Jones of Tennessee, his siblings: Teresa Morris, Darrell (Teresa) Morris, DeWayne (Ida) Morris, Laura (Rex) Yearous, Nina (Greg) Simmons; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley (Strempke) Morris; an infant daughter, Kasey; and a niece, Ashlei Connolly.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Quasqueton Legion on Friday, May 13, 4 to 7 p.m. The service will begin at 4 p.m. with an opening prayer by Rev. Kevin Jennings and military rites will be performed by the American Legion Post 434.
