Joseph Brockmeyer Obituary

INDEPENDENCE – Joseph A. Brockmeyer 64, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, formerly of Independence, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor his memory on Saturday, July 19 at the Independence VFW from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with Military Service at 11 a.m.
Joe was born in Manchester, Iowa on April 11, 1960 to John and Fran Brockmeyer. He was part of the Independence Class of 1979. Joe enlisted in the Army in 1980 and was stationed in Germany. After returning to Independence, he went to school to become plumber and a maintenance technician. Although he loved Iowa, he eventually moved to Arkansas to be near his Mom.
Joe's greatest joy in life was being a Dad and Grandpa and will be remembered by many as a gentle soul who loved to sing and play his guitar. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Danielle (Curtis) Wade and Melissa (DD) Rizzio; his five grandchildren; Fiancée Kim Swan; stepdaughter Sherry; his mother, Fran Brockmeyer; four brothers: Kevin Brockmeyer, Dan Brockmeyer, Rick (Tess) Brockmeyer, and Jeff Brockmeyer; a sister, Valerie (Quinn) Harrington; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father.
