Jacqueline “Jackie” Claire Brockmeyer passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born in New Orleans on December 23, 1938, and lived there most of her life before relocating to Covington.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents Henry” Jack” and Hilda (Aucoin) Brockmeyer. She is survived by her brothers, Henry and George; and sisters, Diane (Barry), Betty (Carl), and Janice (Rick). She is also survived by her nephew, Christopher, and nieces, Dawn, Lorie, and Kim.
Jackie retired after working for the Jefferson Parish government for many years. She loved her pets – Smokey and Rusty. Jackie enjoyed her travels to England, Germany, and other parts of Europe. She loved shopping, making her daily runs to some places you didn’t know existed to find her treasures. Jackie loved Mardi Gras and her old neighborhood in uptown New Orleans.
Jackie had many enduring friends who walked through life with her. Over the last few weeks and months, we appreciate the thoughtfulness of her lifelong friends Jackie, Donna, and Myrle, as well as her neighbor, Sylvia, for all that she did for her.
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the nursing staff at Lakeview Regional Hospital for their compassionate care of Jackie.
Jackie will be missed by all who knew her.
No formal services will be held. Burial will be private.
