Marjorie J "Marge" Miller

INDEPENDENCE – Marjorie J. Miller, 76, of Bondurant, Iowa formerly of Hazleton, Iowa, died on February 18, 2025, at Courtyard Estates in Bondurant.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, at the Reiff Family Center – Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the service on Saturday.
Marjorie was born on January 13, 1949, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of William M. and Juanita J. (Atkisson) Stroud. She grew up in Omaha, and was a 1967 graduate of Benson High School. On June 17, 1967, she married Thomas A. Miller at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Omaha. The couple made their home in Hazleton. In 1979, they opened Miller Motors, and Marjorie was the bookkeeper there for many years.
Marge was that friend for life once you met her. She loved people, loved to do crafts, loved cooking and had a heart of gold. She always wanted to help if she could. She was the life of the party and threw the best parties.
She is survived by her children: Thomas "Gomer" Miller, Grinnell, Iowa, and Robin (Andy) Doan, Ankeny, Iowa; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Sandra Micek and brother-in-law, Michael Micek, Omaha; and several nephews.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her father, William Stroud; her mother and stepfather, Juanita and Robert Sollitt; her in-laws August and Katherine Miller; her husband, Thomas Miller; a daughter, Tammy Miller-Fuller; and a brother, Bill Stroud.
