Rosanne Negley Obituary

INDEPENDENCE – Rosanne Clarice Negley, 75 years old, of Independence, Iowa, and formerly of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Monday, May 26, 2025, at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence, following a short battle with cancer.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
Rosanne was born July 6, 1949, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of William G. Mohr and Nelda (Rostenbach) Mohr. She graduated from Davenport Central High School with the class of 1967. She continued her education at the University of Northern Iowa and graduated with a bachelor's degree in teaching. She worked as a special education teacher at River Hills School in Cedar Falls, Iowa, for more than 30 years.
In 1971 she was united in marriage to Russell Dean Negley in Davenport. The couple made their home in Cedar Falls, where they raised their family. After retirement, they moved to Independence, to be closer to family. While wintering in Florida she joined the Moose Lodge in Palmetto, Florida.
Rosanne is survived by her husband, Russell Negley of Independence; two sons, Heath Negley of Birmingham, Alabama and Andrew Negley of Independence. She is also survived by three grandchildren. Her parents; and one brother, Bill Mohr, preceded her in death.
