ALBERT BLOW Obituary

ALBERT W. BLOW SR. - BURLINGTON - Albert W. Blow Sr., 77, passed away quietly in Starr Farm Nursing Center on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012. He was born in Burlington on Sept. 4, 1935, the son of Jasper D. Sr. and Glenna (Ploof) Blow. He served for 22 years with the Security Dept. of Fletcher Allen Health Care. He later became a greeter at the front entrance of the hospital and will be well remembered for his natural friendliness and warm personality, which put many at ease during their most difficult and trying times. He is survived by his four children; 12 grandchildren; brothers and their wives, Jasper D. Jr. and Maryellen Blow of Scottsville, Ala., George and Eleanor Blow of Colchester, and Richard I and Jeannette Blow of Williston; longtime friend and companion, Charlene Annair of Burlington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two grandchildren; sister, Mary Depsey of Tampa, Fla.; and brother, Charles Blow of Burlington. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery. Elmwood-Meunier Funeral Home, 97 Elmwood Ave., in charge. Memorial contributions may be sent to Vermont Respite House, 99 Allenbrook Lane, Williston, VT 05495.
