Craig Bacon Obituary

Craig Bacon

- - Beloved husband, father, son and friend passed away Wednesday May 23rd at 4:28am after a year long battle with Multiple Myeloma Cancer.

Craig was born December 14, 1963 in Burlington VT, the son of Dale and Mary Bacon. Craig grew up in Queen City Park spending much of his time swimming at the ledges, riding his motorcycle and spending time with friends. He graduated South Burlington High School in 1982 and shortly after wed his childhood friend and high school sweetheart Mistie (Baker) Bacon. They celebrated 35 beautiful years together, and 2 children.

Craig is survived by his wife Mistie, son Tyler Bacon (wife Stacey), and daughter Kristina Bissonette (husband Shane). His father Dale Bacon, older brother Dane Bacon (wife Diane), father-in-law Harold Baker and his 5 grandchildren whom he adored, Logan, William, Hailey, Sloane and Steele. As well as many cousins, niece and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother Mary (Newman) Bacon, older brother Gordon and Sister Dawn. As well as his paternal Grandparents Roscoe Bacon, Daisy Johnson. His maternal grandparents George and Elizabeth Newman and Mother-in-law Sylvia (Stillson) Baker.

Craig was employed for 36 years at Heritage Aviation where he was an Aviation Fuel Technician and De-icing Manager, a loyal and dedicated employee. He enjoyed spending his down time at his family camp, riding his motorcycle, hunting and vacationing in North Carolina. He was an upstanding man, someone who was genuine, loving and compassionate. For those who crossed paths with him felt honored to know him. He cherished the short time he had with each of his grandchildren and having his wife by his side. He will be sorely missed, never forgotten and always loved.

A funeral service will be held at Essex Alliance Church, Saturday June 2nd at 11:00am with a reception to follow. A private family gathering on Sunday June 3rd at Bacon's Acres from 12:00 (noon) into the early evening.

I´m sorry to hear... I worked with Craig for many a few years at the airport (Entec) and Craig was a great mentor to me. I was hired right out of the Air Force by his older brother. He was a great person and friend.

Mistie and family, I am so sorry it has taken me this long to respond, I am so truly sorry for the loss of your best friend, husband, and father of the children you both had together. I did not realize the enormity of what you two have/had gone through together. The description of what he was as a man and a man of God is without a doubt a man of integrity. may God surround all of you with His love and comfort and then peace knowing that Craig is in His Father's arms, dancing, rejoicing and loving Heaven. God bless you all.

Mistie not really sure what to say . Although I haven't seen you or Craig in many years . Seeing his picture and reading about his and your life brought back so many fond memories.. I smile when I think of all the time we spent riding dirt bikes or jumping off the ledges or just being part of the old qcp gang. He will be missed but he had a life well lived. God bless you both.
