Judith Philips Obituary
She was born July 3, 1960 to James Weldon Philips and Andylene Davis Philips in Midland, Texas. Raised and educated in Midland, Judith was a graduate of Midland College. She had been employed with Area Wide Phone Books and Hill Country Directories.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Judith is survived by her father, Weldon Philips of Midland, TX; brother, Hudson Philips of Boulder, CO; and long-time companion, Grey Townsend, and his children, Amy and Christopher, of Georgetown, TX; three nephews, Luke, Ben, and Sam Philips, all of Boulder, CO; aunts, Marie Henson, Birdie Lee Bruce, Edith Clary, and Rondola Hise, all of San Angelo, TX; and numerous cousins.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 9:00 A.M. Friday, October 19, 2007 at Trinity Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. To place on-line condolences visit www.mem.com.

Weldon and Hudson,
I thank our Lord and Savior for having had the privelage of knowing your family and growing up so close to your home. Judi was a good and devoted friend of mine. Even though we went our seperate ways, after Felicia and I moved to California, she will always have a special place in my heart and memories. She always believed in me and gave me confidence in myself. May God bless and keep you during this time and for the times ahead.
My condolences also go out to Lee and Becky as well as Grey.

Weldon and Hudson, I am sorry for your loss at this time. After reading the obituary, I was thinking about the times that we would be in your yard or the Brewer's yard playing hide and seek or greenlight,redlight in the evenings during summer. Of the times we would traipse from the front yard to the back yard through your kitchen with Judy leading the way and making sure John Brewer or I did not break any thing.Of the other many memories of my childhood that Judy is part and will always be part of. Though we go our seperate ways when we grow up, truly our best friends are the ones of our youth, that accept us for who we are and love us any way. I know you have many more wonderful memories of Judy. This is a time to treasure and remember them with family and friends.
